The company’s Vice Versa Residence housing estate, which is being built in the Wola district near the business center by Daszyński Roundabout, was awarded the certificate along with a “Very Good” rating. The Vice Versa Residence will be one of the very first housing estates in Poland to offer its residents the possibility of installing a private charging station for their electric vehicles next to their underground garage parking spots. The Vice Versa Residence is a building complex composed of two multidwelling buildings which will offer a total of 181 luxury apartments. The estate is planned around a lush, central garden which will be divided into relaxation and leisure zones for both children and adults. The Vice Versa Residence received the very best rating in the Land Use and Ecology category during an audit that was carried out as a part of the BREEAM certification process.  “A computer simulation of the housing estate was performed in order to predict its energy consumption levels. Thanks to the simulation, it was possible to establish predicted CO2 emission levels as well as the amount of energy that will be used to provide residents with necessary utilities such as heating and hot water. Both of the estate’s buildings will be fitted with energy-efficient LED lighting with daylight sensors and energy-saving lifts. Moreover, a professional ecologist was hired to increase the biodiversity of the estate’s courtyard environment – there will be birdhouses and water fountains spread throughout the estate, not to mention a wide variety of plants that were specifically chosen to benefit the local fauna and flora. The Vice Versa Residence, which is currently under construction at the intersection of Przyokopowa and Szarych Szeregów Streets, was also given a very high rating in the Transport category by BREEAM’s assessor. Its excellent location ensures great access to other city districts thanks to which the Vice Versa Residence was awarded the maximum number of points in this particular category. Yareal holds the Polish record for the number of housing estates which have been awarded sustainable building certificates. Half of the 10 BREEAM-certified residential investments that are presently in Poland were constructed by Yareal. Last year, the company decided that all subsequent housing investments will be built to meet BREEAM’s strict scientifically rigorous requirements. Apart from the Vice Versa Residence, 4 other Yareal investments (Strefa Wilanów, Rezydencja Chrobrego, Eden Włodarzewska and Sienna 65) were also awarded BREEAM Interim certificates.
