Mickiewicza 63 with a BREEAM Interim certificate at the ‘Excellent’ level
We are proud to announce that our Mickiewicza 63 development has been awarded a BREEAM Interim certificate at the ‘Excellent’ level. This is also the first ‘Excellent’ certificate awarded to Yareal and the fifth residential development in Poland to receive this certification.
Achieving such a high score confirms our consistent approach to creating high-quality living spaces that take into account environmental, social and wellbeing aspects for future residents.
The results achieved in the following categories are particularly noteworthy:
✅ Transport – The project achieved the maximum number of points, confirming its exceptionally high transport accessibility and the use of solutions supporting sustainable forms of transport.
✅ Management – The developer consulted with the local community, ensuring the project was tailored to the needs and expectations of the local area.
✅ Water management – During the design and construction phases, care was taken to minimise the project’s impact on the natural water cycle. Upon completion of the works, the proportion of impervious surfaces was reduced compared with the situation prior to the start of the project.
✅ Land use and ecology – A key strength of the project was the use of previously developed land, which helped to reduce pressure on non-urbanised areas and support sustainable spatial development.
✅ Energy – The project’s high environmental ambitions were demonstrated by the organisation of energy workshops for the project team, which helped to raise energy awareness and identify opportunities to improve the building’s energy efficiency.
✅ Waste – As part of the project, a detailed demolition audit was carried out and measures were implemented to ensure the responsible and efficient use of materials from the demolition, in line with the principles of the circular economy.
