The Polish branch of global research group DuPont has chosen the Nowogrodzka Square office building for its headquarters.
Sixty percent of Yareal’s flagship 11,500 sq. m. investment has already been leased. The new tenants will move into Nowogrodzka Square in March of next year, occupying over 700 sq. m. of the building’s top floor; giving them exclusive access to a large terrace with a view of the Warsaw skyline. DuPont is a company with a 200-year tradition which provides solutions for, among others, the automotive, food, electronics and construction industries. This global leader in innovation and scientific solutions chose the Nowogrodzka Square office building, built by Yareal in downtown Warsaw, for its headquarters. Yareal’s flagship investment, located a few minutes’ walk from the Central Railway Station, won the Best Constructed Certified Green Building award in a competition organized by the Polish Green Building Council at the beginning of October.
“Sustainable development, innovation, and caring for the environment are a part of our company’s DNA, therefore the decision to choose the Nowogrodzka Square office building goes hand-in-hand with DuPont’s global policy. We also took a number of factors into consideration while choosing a location for our headquarters, including the comfort of our team which, thanks to the building’s location, will be able to access it through practically all means of transportation – from trams and buses to the railway, metro lines and bicycles” – said Andrzej Pałka, Country Manager, DuPont Poland Sp. z o.o.
“Receiving the award for the Best Certified Green Building is a huge success. As part of this extraordinary investment, we not only constructed the office building itself, but also an attractive urban walkway connecting Nowogrodzka Street with Aleje Jerozolimskie. I am convinced that DuPont employees will feel comfortable here; taking advantage of both the walkway and all the amenities and services it has to offer, as well as the terrace” – stated up Eric Dapoigny, President of Yareal Poland.
Nowogrodzka Square is the only modern office building located on this part of Aleje Jerozolimskie. The facade of the building was composed by combining raw concrete walls and an exclusive, semi-transparent onyx in hinged windows. The project – along with its publicly accessible, 100-foot pedestrian walkway – has been incorporated into the modernist and historic tenement houses in the area, which were built at the beginning of the 20th century. Nowogrodzka Square was built in accordance with the highest requirements for ecological construction, as confirmed by its Excellent BREEAM certification.
A typical floor at the Nowogrodzka Square complex offers nearly 2,000 sq. m. of modern and easy-to-arrange office space. The building also has an underground garage that can accommodate up to 148 cars, as well as a dedicated parking area for bicycles.
DuPont was represented by Colliers throughout the process of negotiating its terms of lease with Yareal.
